Healthiest Bread in the World (and yummiest)

  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1 cup arrowroot
  • 1/3 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 3/4 tsp. Baking soda
  • Wet ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. Psyllium Husk
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. White Chia Seeds (ground in coffee grinder)
  • Egg Wash:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. Filtered water


  1. In one large bowl Whisk together (really well) all dry ingredients. In small bowl, Whisk together all wet ingredients. Let sit until it turns to gel (about 5 minutes).
  2. This is the basic recipe.
  3. For Garlic Herb Cheese bread, add to the dry ingredients:
  4. 1 Tbsp of oregano
  5. 1 Tbsp of Thyme
  6. 3-4 cloves of fresh garlic (grated on the star side of a grater), they sell a 4 sided mini grater that’s about 3 inches tall on amazon.
  7. A handful of organic mozzarella cheese
  8. Make sure you mix REALLY well so there is no clumps of garlic or cheese (add a little at a time when whisking)
  9. For Cinnamon Raisin Bread: Mix into dry ingredients
  10. 2 tsp. of cinnamon
  11. A handful of raisins (soak them in a bowl of filtered water to plump up), then add slowly to dry ingredients
  12. Again, mix in gradually while whisking so there is not big clumps of raisins stuck together.
  13. Put a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper in the oven to heat up.
  14. Mix wet and dry ingredients together. I start with a rubber spatula and then use my hands and knead until it turns into a sticky dough (if it’s to sticky just wet your hands a tad).
  15. Shape the dough into a log, bread shape on the hot baking sheet.
  16. Use a rubber basting brush and put the egg wash all over the loaf.
  17. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
  18. Put on a cooling rack. Let cool COMPLETELY before eating (at least 30-45 minutes)....waiting will be worth the wait :). ENJOY!
  19. With this basic recipe, you can add ANY ingredients you like to make any kind of bread your heart desires 🙂
